ePac Has Big Expansion Plans for Flexible Packaging in 2019
We’ve covered the flexible packaging company “ePac” in the past, but as it turns out, they are growing into even more United States based cities. For 2019, they plan to expand into Cleveland; Minneapolis; Longview, Texas; Philadelphia; New York; Louisville, Ky., and Richmond, Va. They are primarily doing this with the help of their existing customer relationships. ePac is able to differentiate itself through its digital printing on the HP Indigo 20000 digital press, allowing them to run short and medium printing runs. This printer also allows ePac to serve smaller clients in flexible packaging because the cost of switching jobs with this particular printer is much easier and faster than competitors.

PrintPack has been serving the Orange, Texas region for over 6 decades and it has decided to close its doors in film manufacturing. This is affecting 87 employees and will require existing film clients to continue business with other PrintPack locations. This closure is mostly due to market conditions and cost considerations. This particular plant has been running since 1959, but PrintPack has owned it since 1996.
