Campbell's Move to Flexible and Rigid Plastic Packaging
Campbell's Move to Flexible and Rigid Plastic Packaging
Campbell is known for its iconic metal soup can, but now things are changing for this giant corporation. While it is a big change, there is a lot of potential in cost savings with PET flexible plastic packaging. Not to mention, the sustainability and recycling implications are fantastic! Once this brand moves from metal to flexible plastic, entirely new markets can open up and cost efficiencies can be achieved. These new packages can also respond to demand shifts easier. Hopefully they make the full move soon!

The Blow Molded Plastic Bottle Market Is Growing Due to BIO PET
The blow molding market is expected to grow at a 4% CAGR over the next four years. This is largely motivated by the ever increasing need to recycle and use biodegradable materials such as BIO PET. Polystyrene and polypropylene are also motivating this trend of blow molding. Additionally, packaged beverages are expected to grow at a rate of 5% CAGR for the forecast period. Rigid plastic also plays into this developing trend and fantastic growth rate.
