Flexible Packaging Continuing to Grow
Flexible Packaging Continuing to Grow
The flexible plastic packaging industry is continuing to grow and gain acceptance, particularly with the pouch products. Flexible packaging is starting to become more and more sustainable as well. Comparing HDPE bottles to flexible plastic pouch packaging in a cradle to grave manner, the flexible pouch tends to emit less carbon emissions and less material used when being manufactured. Additionally, costs are saved on shipping due to the lighter weight. There is also a new laminate being produced by Amcor that is recyclable to further the sustainable efforts in the flexible packaging industry.
